Electives

Session 1:

Tuesdays beginning January 27th and ending March 3rd.

The price covers the entire elective -

It is a one-time payment per elective.

9:00 – 9:55 am

Interactive Play ~ $20 ($50 if you sign up for all three slots):  K through 2nd grade. Each week, children will participate in a variety of engaging activities, including a new craft and a music session. To add some extra fun, we will also have baking activities, gym/playground time scheduled 2 to 3 times throughout the 6-week period. 

We will also prioritize social time through open play and a shared snack. Parents need to send a water bottle and a snack weekly.

Not all time slots of Interactive Play will participate in all of the activities each elective day. If you want your child to attend all three slots (9-12), then you will have to sign him/her up for each of the three slots. Signing up for three slots will result in a $10  discount (regularly $60, reduced to $50).

PE ~ $40: 3rd through 6th grade. Combining exercise and fun to build a foundation for a strong mind & body! We will cover a variety of sports, aerobic activities, and other fun games. Please wear athletic clothing and closed-toe shoes, and bring a water bottle.

Baking ~ $50: 7th through 12th. Let’s make something delicious! We will be learning baking basics and skills…and creating mouthwatering baked goodies! Just bring an apron!

Sewing ~ $15: 3rd through 12th. Basic sewing skills like stitch types, buttons, and hems. Pin cushions, pins, thread, fabric, etc. They will need to provide their own regular-sized sewing scissors.

STEM ~ $30:  3rd through 6th grade. A fun, hands-on STEM class where students build, test, and discover!  Students will work in teams as well as on individual projects while learning science through experiments, challenges, and creative problem-solving. This class is perfect for curious kids who love to build and explore. 

Art Outside the Box ~ This class is about learning new artistic skills. Creation is the theme. Topics range from mixed media to tshirt design to interactive pieces that can move. There are set projects each week, but supplies will always be available for students to make it their own throughout the process. Our minds are capable of extraordinary things, if we are willing to look for wonder in the ordinary. 

Please also note that this class will have Christian undertones and students will come home with Bible verses etc. each week in addition to their projects.

Volleyball ~ $40: 3rd through 12th grade. Learn basic skills and hone them with fun and friends!   

STEM ~ $30: 7th through 12th grade      

Art ~ $40: 3rd through 6th grade

Sign-up is open to the public. If this is your first time participating in electives with us, and you are not a member of Keystone, there is a $20 Registration fee. Instructions for paying this, along with applicable paperwork (handbook and media release), will be sent via email.
